No Skatepark in Charleston! Just Bullshit!
On October 20, 2010:
"Eric came to Charleston with no notice and told me I was no longer needed at the park, that he can run it better. After I just built a new set up and paid for all the product in the shop with my own personal money. Only to be pushed out of something that I put my heart into..." -Jon D

SkateCity Halloween Contest!
Hardflips for Halloween
BY ZACH NESMITHAUGUSTA, GA - For kids that grew up playing Tony Hawk Pro Skater, reading “Thrasher” and drawing flip books of impossible skateboard tricks they’d love to see, frightening applies to a lot more than monster masks and haunted houses.
To really scare a skater, put them in front of 16-stair handrails, loose bolts and maybe the pressure of a contest.
Skate City of Augusta is holding a skate contest along with their first costume contest this Halloween. There will be three ranks for skaters to enter: beginner, intermediate and advanced.
Everyone is welcome to enter for a small entry fee and it’s free to just come out and watch.
There will be prizes awarded to first, second and third places.
The prizes range from things like T-shirts and free passes to decks and wheels, along with a certificate awarded to the winners.
Skateboarding company CCS will be sponsoring the event, so expect a lot of good stuff to buy, whether it’s a deck to replace the damage of that unfortunate landing or bearings to reach that speed fast enough to clear the gap.
If your board is riding fine or you just come to watch, there will be food available, too. Hot dogs, burgers, pizza and drinks will be there if you get an appetite so you won’t miss the next trick or the product toss.
There will also be live music to accompany the event and keep the tricks flowing. You might even spot some local skate legends like Jeff Hall or Bill Pardee.
Sign up begins at 1 p.m. and the first round will start at 2 p.m. Don’t worry if you come late; you can still enter at any time during the event.
So if you skate, have friends that skate or even kids that skate, this event will help support the local skate scene on Halloween.

glitch_promo
People have been asking lately, "what's up with a Shed video?"
Videos are hard. I made a complete video for Ballistic (where Shed came from) that never got released before we changed ownership and names.
Now we are Shed, and that video was trash. I started working on a replacement for it, which ended up feeling really old since the footage was old. Then our camera (a GL1) started acting up big time and we all got pissed because we'd land shit and the footage was all glitchy. So GL1TCH was born. But I haven't worked on it in forever. Think I might finish it now that people are interested in seeing some footage.

Solomon Mosley Wins ATL HH contest!
With his kickflip crook up the euro gap rail and feeble up the big rail, Kyle Regiscer took third place.
Second place went to Joey Pellegrino. His rail tricks were impressive including switch 270 front board and well-executed back smiths.
Hometown Heroes veteran, Solomon Mosley (Click), was shredding everything in his path taking first place. Among the many tricks he did, Soloman landed a huge frontside flip up the double bank and switch crook and nollie heel noseslide down the hubba. He destroyed the rail with a kickflip boardslide to fakie, nollie back lip and nollie front board.

Demo Update!
there is a business on that street that does not want a skate demo in the street and ---- has tried to convince him that it will be fine, but regardless.. I am working with the roller derby team to see if we can use some of the street they have... but this demo will not include ramps, mainly because ---- spoke with ---- and they dont want to keep carrying ramps around...without a true place to set up... We have a table setting up in front of Soul Bar with t-shirts and petitions."

Go Skate Day contest!
skateboard contest at Skate City skate park! Jordan won some cash
money for his tight run featuring some nice smooth frontside flips,
5050s on the flat rail, and many other tricks. Good job Jordan!
Thanks go to Skate City and Hollywood cycles in Aiken, SC!
Theo Olson took second! With one of most solid runs I've seen him pull
yet!
Matt Lee took third! Nailing miller flips and grinding the hubba!
Caleb won the beginners, with that smooth style and big tricks!

I'm Board - Please Build A Concrete Skatepark in Augusta
Augusta needs a skatepark!
It's not like we're a bunch of punks. We're even asking nicely. Please put a concrete skate park in Augusta. Everyone needs a safe place to skate. The fact of the matter is, if Augusta doesn't have a skatepark, then Augusta IS a skatepark. So build us a park, pretty please?
Augusta is a great city. But, unlike most progressive or thriving towns, we don't have a public, concrete skatepark. Skateboarding is a legitimate, mainstream sport which the youth of Augusta are now, and historically have been, very involved in. Don't make us take it to the streets. In the words of one skater, "If Augusta doesn't have a skatepark, Augusta is a skatepark." Let's keep our present and future athletes safe, and give our town an attraction to draw visitors and events. We're board. Build a concrete skatepark in Augusta. Please.
