Shed Skateboards is a completely rider owned, rider run skateboard company. We vow to stay true to what skateboarding is: playing, enjoying, celebrating; living.
what I said on Facebook earlier in response to a friend saying this is 'Commercializing' skateboarding... "It amazes me the ability these guys have to pull tricks over and over. It really devalues the tricks though. But I guess that's what it means to be a professional skater. You get paid to perform, not to have fun. Real skateboarding is all about having fun and hanging with friends. I guess they are doing that, only they HAVE to beat their friends and have fun doing it. Competition is the root problem. It should be like it used to be... companies paid salaries to riders, who in turn travelled skating and promoting the companies. Now it seems the skater can do his own thing and make a killing, meanwhile the industry takes the backseat. It's not about skateboarding anymore, it's about the skateboarder. Better yet, the "Super-Pros"! So commercial."
