Grassroots DIY skate contest Pensacola Floriduhhh

Our local park has been shut down for over a year due to terrible management  and a total disconnect from he skateboarding community. I couldn't take it anymore and quit my job at Ford. I contacted the management and covinced them to let me rebuild and fix the park to operating order and to let me manage it. The locals have come out in droves to help. We've set over 21000 screws, patched, and painted and fixed the place up pretty well.I've been skating for over 25 years and ahven't seen anything like this. I'm so stoked to be a part of this. We're throwing a contest to raise money for surface and lights. So far Ford is sending out a Roush mustang for display and Harley is sending some bikes. A gaming bus is coming in and there's going to be a gaming contest as well. We're expecting over 500 people to show up and 100 to compete. We need your support for prizes and banners to cover the park with you logo and website. We know nothing comes for free in this world so on our end we'll put your logo on future flyers, emails to our data base concernign future events and keep your banners up. This is a total DIY grassroots hostile coporate takeover. We have zero budget today but the way these kids have fought for this park we'll be much better off in the future and would love for you to take part in that success. If you're at all intrested please contact me by email or at home late night 251 987 1787 or at the park 850 434 6441 or call Melissa Morgan at 850 698 1848. The address is 1447 West Fairway Dr. Gulf Shores Alabama 36542. Thank you in advance for your support ,we really need it. Hope to hear from you soon!!!

Very Respectfully, Rick Morgan X Park Pensacola Floriduh

Skate City Sesh, October, 29th, 2009

David and I Cruised over to Skate City yesterday for an evening session. We planned on skating for an hour or so and ended up skating for over 3! Jeff Hall showed up and was skating ridiculously fast linking up lines throughout the whole park. Despite cracking his board David lay down some smooth skateboard trickery as well. It was a super fun time at a super fun park.

Retro Days | Ballistic Intro+Friends

Right before we bought the company from Ballistic to form Shed, we had already been working on a video. I ran across the promo and friends section and figured I'd share it. Enjoy!

Slow Days this week.

This week has been a little slow here at shed. David has hurt his ankle and I have been too preoccupied with school to finish the new graphics or add new video. Stay posted though, cause next week we should be back in action. Sometimes you just need a little patience :)

Augusta Skatepark, Gone again!

For some time now the Augusta City Skatepark has been closed due to
it's poorly constructed ramps; now, it's completely gone. I rode by
there a few weeks ago, after recieving word that the workers were
bulldozing the ramps; sure enough, they were gone. In a town where the
mantra is "Play. Augusta", there sure isn't a place provided by it for
skateboarders! Thank goodness that we still have the privately owned
SkateCity to fill this city's lack of initiative and understanding
concerning our youth.

GO DAWGS!!

The season is upon us!!

Thanks Aiken, SC!

Just wanted to drop a THANK YOU to everyone in Aiken who has supported
Shed! You guys rock! We are currently stocking inventory and funds to
purchase shirts and stickers, so be expecting those in the future.
Also, FYI, since Aiken has done so well at keeping us in business, I
have been considering a options that might include free stuff and/or
events as a pay back! We look forward to that opportunity and hope we
can provide it for you! Keep rippin' and reppin, "The Shed" thanks you!

Charleston contest update!

In traditional charleston style, the contest structure was two 1 min runs and then a 30 min jam for the finals. Though we didnt make the finals, we all skated good and had a blast! David did really good for his first big contest! and I was personally glad to see all the familiar faces I have come to miss. So the rippers on the east coast were definitely out! Jack was solid with like 10 back to back runs which included a backtail down the rail and a fakie flip down the gap. Richard ripped it with an arsenal of tricks down the rail including nollie boardslides, nollie nosegrinds, and kickflip backlips! Conner killed it and won my best trick vote with his switch back lip and switch back smith down the rail! He also hit the most solid switch frontside flip david and I have ever seen! A couple other mentions are Tripp's air up to lip and Aaron's air up to frontside grind pull of on the freakin' wallride! Both were truly amazing! Not to mention how crazy Marty's air over the entire wallride ramp was! and Dusty's nollie front nose and front feeble down the rail, nollie crooks on multiple ledges, and nollie backside kickflip down the gap were insanely perfect! So why didnt they win? Because this guy Scotty was fuckin landing a new trick every ten seconds! I only saw him air the tranny hip longways and do a lipside to nosegrind across the long box, but I kept hearing his name the whole time. Goes to show that there was so much going down that you couldnt see it all. I cant wait for next year! -nicky

Outer Banks bound!

The crew set sail for the Outer Banks NC yesterday morning, so I am sure there will be some chillin involved before they begin their week-long skating escapade. I'm glad that Waldo made it this year. He is going to have a blast in the many pools and ramps the Outer Banks' have to offer. Stay posted on updates and check the footage when they return!

Stolen Ramp Update!

There have been a few suspects so far, but no definite answer on who stole our flatbar about two weeks ago, and our kicker ramp and ledge the other day. Thank you to those keeping an eye out! We appreciate the help!

Description of items:
1) square tube flatbar, shin high (1 inches)
2) small wooden kicker ramp (well built)
3) 2 foot by 7 foot ledge with recycled plastic edge (no metal)

Someone out there has our stuff just chillin in their driveway or cul-de-sac, and we plan to find out who. If you are reading this, you might want to just return the shit!

Also, ramps were stolen from another skatespot in Beech Island, SC. What the fuck is happening here. People supply ramps at perfect skate locations (slabs of smooth concrete). You don't even have to pay anything for anything. To us, this is the lowest form of theft.

FYI: There may be a reward (like a skateboard! ;) ) for the return, or info leading to the return, of our stuff!

Use it or lose it!

So, like two (2) of you will notice that the Forum is gone. Well, at least for those two lonely Shed followers, thank you and I am sorry I had to delete it; but somehow it was compromised and I got some spam shit on it, and I hate spam shit. I would like to think I got agrivated with the lack of its use, and deleted it in a fit of rage; but i did not. Sorry to disappoint the computer world's ever-intense battleground with my feebleness :) i think it will understand.

FYI: Like always, I already have plans for a new one that will not get spammed.

Shed aficionado Jamie shows some love!

Focus on the Local!

Times have been tough for all of us lately, and in light of our local skateshop (Rhythm) closing…
Shed has decided that we should open the sale of our products to the local public.

What this means is…
You may now purchase Shed skateboards directly from Shed (located in Augusta, Ga) at closer to wholesale prices.
In some cases, your purchase may even be eligible for free delivery!

With Shed’s new “Focus on the Local” campaign…
You not only get the best quality products offered and save a couple bucks in the process, but you are also supporting our local skate scene and reducing harmful greenhouse gases emitted during delivery processes. For more information on the economic and environmental benefits of shopping locally, please visit: StayLocal.Org

Thank you…
for continuing to be conscience of our environment and supporting your local skate scene.

Shed Skateboards are proudly American-Made in North Carolina, and stored in a climate-controlled environment until they reach you!
